This course equips students to apply their understanding of leadership roles and responsibilities to the strategic dynamics of organizational change. Students will explore the constant presence of change in the modern world, types of change such as strategic and leadership transitions, and various change models. Emphasis will also be placed on identifying key stakeholders and guiding people through the human aspects of navigating change within organizations.

Jon Whiteway, Ed.D.

Dr. Jon Whiteway serves as the Executive Director of Strategic Operations at the New York Ministry Network. He is also an executive coach and organizational development consultant based in Syracuse, New York. As the founder of Whiteway Leadership, he specializes in helping leaders, teams, and organizations achieve transformational results through customized coaching and consulting services. His work focuses on leadership transformation, team cohesion, and organizational change, aiming to inspire confidence, drive change, and get results .​

Dr. Whiteway's diverse background includes 13 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry, where he completed two combat tours and attained the rank of Major. His military experience has profoundly influenced his leadership philosophy, emphasizing clarity, adaptability, and mission-driven execution.​

In addition to his military service, Dr. Whiteway has over a decade of experience in church ministry leadership, having served as an Assistant Pastor at North Central Church in Syracuse, New York. He also contributes to academia as a professor of leadership in the Syracuse University MBA program, where he educates students from diverse backgrounds in leadership theory and practice .​

Dr. Whiteway holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. 

He is married to Julianna, and together they have three children, Kennady, Kauis, and Magnus.​
